Our collaborators are fundamental to the success of the platform. It is thanks to their support and dedication that Procellar-ID is able to compile a large amount of information about seabirds in the marine environment. By integrating data collection into their regular activities, our collaborators can also offer visitors a more educational and enriching experience, while directly supporting seabird research and involving guides and crew in seabird identification and monitoring efforts.
Meet our collaborators
Procellar-ID is supported institutionally by SPEA (Sociedade Portuguesa para o Estudo das Aves), the official Portuguese partner of BirdLife International, an environmental NGO with more than three decades dedicated to bird research, conservation, and environmental education in mainland Portugal and Macaronesia. SPEA has been part of BirdLife International since 1999.
